What’s Your Definition of Success?
I've been head down with my family visiting from the States - but I've snuck away this morning for a few minutes writing on my book - 'Breaking Free, Coming Back to Me' - which I aim to finish by the end of the year.
This morning, I'm reflecting on what 'Success' means.
I always encourage my clients to reflect on their unique definition of success. It's so much more than a paycheck or job title.
Success to me is the feeling of alignment with who you truly are and the life you desire to lead.
For some, this may indeed involve financial security, but for others, success might mean creative freedom, strong relationships, personal growth, or a sense of inner peace.
I believe the key to discovering your unique definition of success lies in understanding what truly lights you up and brings you a sense of purpose and satisfaction.
This requires introspection, honesty, and a willingness to move away from society's expectations and the influence of others.
Getting Your Souls Unique Blueprint and contemplating your Gene Keys Purpose, Radiance and Life’s Work may also provide a new perspective and insight.
Begin by asking yourself what success looks like to you on a deeper level. When do you feel the most alive, fulfilled, or content? Is it when you’re learning something new, connecting deeply with others, creating something meaningful, or simply being present?
Your answers to these questions reveal clues about what genuinely matters to you, offering insight into a more personalized view of success. This process of redefining success is an ongoing journey, as your priorities may shift over time. Yet, the more you align with your true desires, the closer you get to living a life that feels rich in every sense of the word.
As you think about success, it’s also important to consider your non-negotiables. What are you not willing to give up in your quest for success?
Success to me looks like a healthy balance between work and play. It looks like work that feels impactful and feeds my soul. It’s about having quality time with my family. Time in my schedule to play golf and tennis and go to yoga class; have brunch or coffee with friends mid-week and being home at night to cook dinner for my family and help my boys with homework afterschool. Success to me looks like raising confident children, travelling and living in an inspiring home that overlooks the water.
When you complete your Human Design profile, you’ll get an idea as to whether you are specific or non-specific in manifesting. I’m specific – which means I like to get crystal clear and outline/bullet point EXACTLY what I aspire for.
How about you?
